40 years at Inyati Game Lodge

For forty years, we’ve had the pleasure
To call Inyati, our place of leisure.
In the Western Sector of the Sabi Sand,
A jewel carved out by nature’s hand.

For forty years, through sun and rain,
We’ve shared her soul, her bushveld brain.
With the lure of the river, we crossed the causeway
Excited what animals we’ll see for the day.

To forty years of magnificent sightings
From leopard and elephants to lions fighting
Each dawn unveils new wonders to see,
Our own private pass to this majesty.

From Kiri Crossing and the Sycamore tree,
To drinks at Moon Rock, where our kids love to be.
While back at the lodge, our chefs create,
Pastries and potjies, and delights for the plate.

For four decades now, we’ve gathered right here,
To share our good fortunes and spread the cheer.
From losses to profits, we’ve weathered the bends,
With a big thanks to Carlos for all those dividends

As we think of the parties and milestones we’ve crossed,
Let’s honour the family, those we’ve loved and we’ve lost.
There’s nothing more precious to remind us to care,
Than the bush that surrounds us, and the friendships we share.

From the Taurog’s, the Novicks, the Rosenbergs, and Smollies,
To the Millers, Hlongwane’s, the Jenkinsons, and Dossies.
This is our haven, where we all love to be,
Right here on this deck, beneath this great tree

So raise a glass and toast to the past forty years,
Of incredible stories, and sunset cheers.
To all our staff, our shareholders and friends
Let’s promise to preserve this place to the end.
