This place was amazing and needs more than a 5!

For over 40 years I have wanted to go on a safari and we finally went in May. Our travel agent, Matty’s van Aswegen, had recommended this place, as it was his favourite place, to be our last stop and it was the best way to end an amazing holiday.

We had already seen many animals in Zimbabwe and Botswana but hadn’t seen a leopard yet. As we were checking in, one was walking across in the distance but clear to see. We did maybe see the same one several times after that. We got SO close to so many animals and even witnessed a lioness kill. It really was a wonderful place to see so many beautiful animals, large and small.

The food is just amazing and every member of staff was so nice and helpful. Our family room was just great and so clean.

The day we arrived, the owners were there, Dough and Carolyn, though they left the next day, and it was clear to see that the staff respected them and they respected and were grateful for each member of staff. We initially had George as our driver/guide and then had Rodger and both were amazing.

I don’t know if we will ever be able to return but if we are able to do so, I will most definitely stay there again. An experience and place that we as a family will never forget.

Top Notch Safari Experience

This place was amazing. From the second you drive up and they greet you with a delicious drink to the day you leave. The food was delicious.

The staff was extremely accommodating. The rooms are great and the beds super comfortable. But the best was the guides and trackers. We had Keith the first night and George and Sully the rest of the time. They are so knowledgeable and willing to share.

They also care so much about showing the guest as much wildlife as they can.

Our stay at Inyati was one of the most memorable travel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly attentive and genuinely caring, making us feel so welcome and looked after. Nothing was too much trouble, and it added such a personal touch to the whole trip.

The food was absolutely brilliant – every meal was a highlight, and dining in such a stunning setting made it even more special. Waking up to breathtaking sunrises and ending the day with golden
sunsets over the reserve was simply magical.

The game drives were beyond incredible. We were lucky enough to see the Big Five, each sighting more exciting than the last, all in the stillness and beauty of the bush. The memories don’t end there—one night we watched hippos grazing right on the lawn, and on another, a leopard casually strolled by. Moments like these truly take your breath away.

Heaven on earth

Inyati is a little piece of heaven on earth. One of our best experiences ever. The staff treats you like family (Goodman is one of the sweetest persons you will ever meet), it serves the best food and the wildlife experiences and safaris are just extraordinary. Our ranger Keith was just so knowledgeable and mindful of the anxieties of our children. We didn’t want to leave… and cannot wait to return in the near future.

Outstanding Safari!!!

We chose Inyati based on its glowing reviews and even with our high expectations, it managed to exceed them in every possible way.

Getting there was much easy, we flew into Johannesburg and then took a short Airlink flight to Skukuza. From the moment we landed, everything was taken care of, we booked directly with the Inyati who arranged all the local transfers seamlessly. The whole journey was smooth, safe, and stress-free, which really set the tone for the entire trip.

The off road game drives were without a doubt the highlight. We were lucky enough to see the Big Five, but also so many beautiful smaller animals and birds. Every drive felt like a new adventure.

Keith (our guide) and Surprise (our tracker) were phenomenal, their experience, passion, and ability to read both the land and the animals was awe-inspiring. They brought the bush to life in a way we never could have imagined.

One of the most magical moments was seeing a 5-week-old leopard cub. To witness something so rare and tender, thanks to Keith’s patience and deep knowledge of the area, was truly the stuff of dreams. It’s a memory we’ll cherish forever.

Inyati gave us more than just a safari, it gave us a soul-stirring, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Thrilling Game Drives and Luxury Accomodations

Our group of four spent five nights at Inyati. Our game drives with guide Omega and his tracker were fantastic, getting us up close to just about every creature we hoped to see and some we never heard of. We saw all of the big five on our first morning and saw new things every day. Watching big cats consume their prey was a highlight. The cottages were very comfortable and scenic. The food was tasty and plentiful. The front desk was helpful when needed and housekeeping staff took care of all our needs while remaining practically invisible.

We were overjoyed with this experience. Keith, Surprise, Chef Blessing and the entire team did a fantastic job.

Great attention to detail both in the lodging experience as well as the daily safaris. Literally cried as our plane lifted off in our farewell waves with Keith &; Surprise – leaving this beautiful part of the world – definitely left a piece of our hearts behind… the people, the incredible animals, the food, the spirit – will truly cherish these memories.

Upon return to the USA, we have sang our praises of Inyati and will continue to do so…

Great place to stay

We were recommended to stay at Inyati by previous guests and I can see why. The grounds have a beautiful view over the river, and we saw monkeys, baboons, impala, nyala, elephant and birds on the grounds, and a hippo walking on the bank opposite.

Staff are very passionate and welcoming. Food is delicious.
Most importantly the game drives were amazing, we always saw something the highlight for me was probably the leopards, they are so beautiful.

Thank you Roger and Quolani for the memories we will have together as a family.

Game drives in Sabi Sands

We have recently returned home from a 4 week holiday in South Africa and this was our first visit back to South Africa since the COVID lockdowns!

As I had always struggled on previous game drives to get a good photograph of a leopard, we were recommended to try Inyati Private Game Lodge in Sabi Sands.

We arrived just in time to drop our bags in our luxury chalet and go on the afternoon safari, this being the first of 10 game drives over the course of our 5 night stay.

We were introduced to our guide and tracker (Diff and Lucas) and asked what we would like to drink on the afternoon’s sundowner!
In all we had 1 dinner out in the bush under the stars, 2 dinners in the boma and 3 dinners on the lodge’s viewing / breakfast deck.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly, the food was very good with enough selection to please many varying tastes and requirements.
Being situated within the park meant that an escort was necessary going to and from our chalet when it was dark for safety reasons. This was a tad exciting but at no time did we feel unsafe.

Amazing experience! Right from when we arrived the service and experience was over the top. They do everything with excellence.
The staff are all friendly and extremely accommodating.

Our guides were top notch and tried to find everything we wanted to see during our stay. They were also very knowledgeable.

Excellent place to see wildlife in a beautiful location with knowledgeable guides. Inyati offered warm-hearted service and great food – our family loved it!

All Sabi Sands lodges are expensive but Inyati is good value for your money.

A Magical Experience

Our stay at Inyati Game Reserve was like a wonderful dream. Everything about the experience was perfect, from the beautiful grounds and lodges, the wonderful service of all the staff, the delicious
food, and, of course, the totally outstanding wildlife.

Our guide Roger and tracker, Qolani were knowledgable, interesting and approachable and made every game drive unique. And the way they worked with the other guides and trackers including those from other nearby lodges, allowed all visitors to get the most exceptional wildlife sightings, while still respecting the animals and ensuring no more than two or three trucks were with any animal or group of animals at a time.

It was magical to be able to sit with a drink on the terrace just watching elephants or hippos down by the river below, or grazing on the lawns and I would return there in a heartbeat.

Just a fantastic consummate safari experience for our multi-generational group!

This was our first safari experience and it exceeded our wildest expectations! We came with a group of six, including my son, and my father. The wide age range of our group made me a bit apprehensive prior to the trip. The guides; Keith and Diff as well as the tracker; Suprise went out of their way to make us feel safe and welcome. They showed us ALL the ‘big five’ within 24 hours of our arrival on property!

One of our favourite places in Africa!

This was our third visit to Inyati in the last 8 years and it didn’t disappoint! The welcome was warm.The game drives were fabulous …it’s amazing how close we were to leopards, lions and elephant! The setting is terrific with an amazing view from the terrace of the lodge!
