Our Management Couple
Keith and Francis Jenkinson joined Inyati in February 2008 as General Managers, driven by their mutual passion for nature and hospitality.
Keith’s career in conservation began in the Greater Kruger Park, where he started as a guide and quickly discovered his talent for sharing the magic of the bushveld with guests. With over 25 years of experience in the Greater Kruger region, Keith holds esteemed qualifications as a Professional Field Guide and Trails Guide and serves as an FGASA Guide Mentor.
Francis began her professional journey in accounting, but her career took a transformative turn when Keith introduced her to the bushveld and the world of hospitality. Inspired by this new path, she dedicated herself to the industry, building over two decades of experience, including time at renowned Relais & Chateaux properties in the South African bush.
As Shareholders at Inyati, Keith and Francis are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences while upholding strong family values and a deep dedication to conservation. Together, they raise their daughters in the heart of the bushveld, instilling in them a profound appreciation for nature and its preservation.

Inyati Game Lodge Seasonal Guide
Inyati experiences seasons opposite those in Europe and North America. The reserve has two distinct seasons: a dry winter season and a wet summer season.
Check the weather forecast for your dates:
Dry Season (Winter): May to October
During the dry season, the vegetation thins out, and animals congregate around waterholes, making them easier to spot. Early mornings and evenings can be quite chilly. Pack warm layers for game drives, especially in June-August.
Month | Morning Temp | Afternoon Temp | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
May | 11°C (52°f) | 28°C (82°f) | End of summer, weather cooling |
June - August | 9-10°C (48-50°f) | 24-25°C (75-77°f) | Coldest months, clear skies |
September | 15°C (59°f) | 27°C (81°f) | Pleasant temperatures, first rains possible |
October | 18°C (82°f) | 28°C (82°f) | Rising temperatures, possible early rains |
Wet Season (Summer): November to April
This is the ‘green season’ with lush landscapes, newborn animals and ample birdwatching opportunities. Pack light, breathable clothing and sunscreen as our summer can be quite hot and humid. Bring a raincoat for afternoon thunderstorms.
Month | Morning Temp | Afternoon Temp | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
November - December | 18°C (64°F) | 30°C (86°F) | Rising temperatures, more frequent rains |
January - February | 20°C (68°F) | 31-33°C (88-91°F) | Hottest months, highest rainfall, intense humidity |
March - April | 15-18°C (59-64°F) | 29-32°C (84-90°F) | Decreasing rain, cooling temperatures |
